dc.description.abstract | This paper, addresses to the issues arising during the application of ITS. In this context, a study is done about chain collision and Intelligent Traffic Light Systems (ITLS). There is a need for these methods because nowadays, traffic causes traffic congestions which remain for long that is generally due to the inefficient management of road congestions. Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANETs) is a rising technology, which integrates wireless LANs, cellular technology and ad hoc network which facilitates inter vehicular communication and reduces accidents, congestions, injuries, fatality rates, and fuel consumptions. The main aim is to exhibit that ad hoc vehicular communication can give us enormous advantages. Mainly in India still there is a need of efficient ad hoc routing protocols in terms of road safety. This paper, also shows congestion prediction and how to reduce congestion problem. Then, illustration of a simulation model that has been developed to test this method for congestion detection and management using OMNET++ for simulation. 2015 IEEE. | en_US |
